Telehealth Study for Physical Therapy
The VA Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center is currently recruiting 126 veterans for a telehealth physical therapy program aimed at improving physical function through high-intensity rehabilitation, coaching, and social support.
The program, which runs until October 2026, is designed for veterans aged 60 and above who need physical therapy.
Participants will receive a Fitbit to track their activity and engage in video call sessions three times a week for 12 weeks, followed by additional coaching. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of telerehabilitation with traditional methods.

VA Chief of Staff Stepping Down
Veterans Affairs Chief of Staff Kimberly Jackson announced her resignation, effective next month. Jackson, who has served in the role for eight months, previously held a senior position at the Pentagon. Her departure marks a significant change in the department’s leadership.
